We opened the doors to our 116^th branch with the opening of MKM Wakefield.

After hitting triple figures for its number of branches across the UK in late 2022, MKM nationwide growth continues to go from strength-to-strength this year, with MKM Wakefield following on from recent launches in Carlisle, Nottingham, Stafford and Wigan.

In line with our wider offering, the new Wakefield branch will offer a product range focused on serving the needs of local customers, ranging from building materials to plumbing and heating, appliances and landscaping products, all backed up by a team of committed industry experts.

Branch Directors John Brandon and Phil Barman bring more than seven decades of combined experience to their new roles and have already made a positive impact on customers at the opening day.

In line with MKM’s wider commitment to supporting local charities and the local community, the branch has pledged its ongoing support to Wakefield Hospice with an initial donation of £1,400.

Branch Director Phil said: “We are firm in our support of Wakefield Hospice and other local organisations. They do amazing work supporting the community we are a part of and now we have a great opportunity to give back."
