We opened our latest branch in Wigan on 12^th June 2023. 

MKM Wigan follows on from new branch openings in Sleaford, Carlisle and Stafford this year, while expanding our presence to more than 15 branches in the North West, including Manchester Central, Macclesfield, Warrington and Bolton.

In line with our wider offering, the new Wigan branch will offer a product range focused on serving the needs of local customers, ranging from building materials to plumbing and heating, appliances and landscaping products, all backed up by a team of committed industry experts.

Darts legend Bobby George was on hand for the opening of MKM Wigan, with staff and customers facing off against the ‘King of Bling’ in a sporting challenge.

Branch Directors Gary Graham and Stuart Fazackerley bring more than five decades of combined experience to their new roles and have already made a positive impact on customers old and new at opening day.

Graham said: “The chance to bring our skills and experience to MKM was the perfect opportunity and we’re delighted with how things have started for us. Opening day was a great chance to meet new customers and showcase our new surroundings to those we already have a relationship with. What really sets us apart is the MKM model, which allows us to be in control of our own destiny and support our customers in the way we feel is best. We have the best team possible behind us, with everyone an expert in their field and able to offer unrivalled service.”

In line with MKM’s wider commitment to supporting communities and charities, MKM Wigan is pledging its support to the Rainbow Ward, a service which supports sick children and their families from the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary.

Branch Director Stuart said: “I know first-hand how crucial the work that the team at the Rainbow Ward carries out is to our community. We’re delighted to provide them with a donation to mark our launch and will be offering continued support as we move forward.”
