At MKM, the UK’s largest independent builder’s merchant, we are continuing to evolve our first-class service offering with a major announcement that we’re entering the hire market for the first time, with our own tool and plant equipment hire offering.

 

We have invested in a fleet of JCB equipment in an exciting new partnership that will see ‘MKM Hire’ officially launched at five MKM branches across the UK – Norwich, Perth, Bromsgrove, Lincoln North, and Manchester Central. Following successful launch MKM plans to roll this fantastic new service at many more branches.

 

Kate Tinsley, MKM’s CEO, said: “Our ethos at MKM has always been about giving our customers what they want and need, which is why we are constantly looking at ways we can develop and enhance the service we provide our customers. Entering the hire market is a fantastic evolution for the business and we are delighted to be working in partnership with TC Harrison JCB.”

MKM’s initial order will see TC Harrison JCB supply over 80 JCB machines, along with a range of power tools, which will be available for hire at Norwich, Perth, Bromsgrove, Lincoln North, and Manchester Central. Deliveries have commenced on the order which includes: micro excavators, mini excavators, tracked Dumpsters, one-tonne site dumpers and hydraulic breakers.
