Right, gather round because the crayons are coming out.
Yes, the MKM Christmas Card Competition is officially back, and this year it’s bigger, brighter and bolder than ever, because MKM is turning 30. That’s three decades of building things, fixing things, delivering things, and generally being the friendly yellow-and-blue giants you can spot from space (or at least from two roundabouts away).

And we want young artists across the UK to help us mark the milestone in glorious, glitter-dusted, felt-tip-powered style.

For the fourth year running, we’re inviting creative kids aged 12 and under to design the official MKM Christmas Card for 2025. That’s right — the winning masterpiece will be printed and posted to thousands of customers, suppliers, partners, branches and industry pals from Land’s End to Lerwick.

No pressure… but, you know… a little bit of pressure.

“Our Christmas Card Competition is such a joy to run. Every year, the talent and imagination of the entries blows us away. From paint and glitter to digital masterpieces. It’s a brilliant opportunity for young people to show off their creativity, and we can’t wait to see what comes in for 2025.”

We’ve seen snowmen with hard hats. Reindeers with tool belts. One incredibly powerful artistic interpretation of Bricky the Mascot as Father Christmas that we still talk about in the office to this day.

So whatever your young artist dreams up — we’re ready.

 

 

Who Can Enter

If you know (or live with, teach, coach or occasionally babysit) a child aged 12 or under in the UK — and they love drawing, doodling, painting, sketching, sticking sequins to everything that stands still — they can enter.

This year’s age categories are:

• Ages 0–3
• Ages 4–6
• Ages 7–9
• Ages 10–12

Fair, balanced, and no sibling rivalry required (well, we can’t promise that).

Artwork can be:

• Hand-drawn
• Painted
• Crafted
• Digital
• Or whatever creative genius looks like in your household

And while it’s not compulsory, we love to see subtle MKM nods — forklifts, bricks, big yellow buildings, Bricky wearing a Santa hat… go wild.

 

The Prizes

Each age category winner receives:
£50 Amazon voucher
(Not for the grown-ups, sorry.)

The overall winner will receive:

• A 12V JCB Kids Ride-on Digger
• A £50 Amazon voucher
• Their design featured on MKM’s 2025 national Christmas card
• A £100 school/art supplies voucher for their class
  (Because creativity deserves backup.)

 

How to Enter

• Artwork should be A4 size
• Submit as JPEG or PDF
• Include:
  • Child’s name
  • Age (as of 1 December 2025)
  • Date of birth
  • Parent/guardian contact details (postal address, email & phone)

Judging is anonymous, carried out by a panel of MKM staff with a sharp eye for originality, creativity and festive cheer.
