We're pleased to share that MKM CEO Kate Tinsley OBE has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Berkeley Group, one of the UK's leading homebuilders, with effect from 1 November 2026.

Kate will join Berkeley's Board and become a member of its Remuneration Committee.

Since joining MKM as CEO in 2020, Kate has led the business through a period of continued growth, drawing on more than 25 years of experience across the building materials and construction sector.

The appointment comes as Kate completes her nine-year term on The FA Board, where she currently serves as Senior Independent Director and Board lead for Welfare and Safety. During that time, she has served on a number of committees, including Audit & Risk, Remuneration, Nomination and Commercial.

 

Commenting on her appointment, Kate said:

Kate's appointment to the Berkeley Board reflects the breadth of experience she has built throughout her career, spanning senior leadership, governance and board roles across the construction sector.

As well as leading MKM since 2020, Kate has remained a strong advocate for independent businesses and the important role they play in supporting local communities and economies across the UK.
