We’re excited to share that we’ve renewed our Silver Partnership with the Children’s University – making this our eighth year of working together! Since 2018, we’ve been proud to support the fantastic work they do in giving young people the chance to try new things, grow in confidence, and explore opportunities they might never have come across otherwise.

The Children’s University is all about creating exciting, hands-on learning opportunities outside the classroom. From sports and science to art and the environment, they open doors to experiences that can spark new passions, help shape future careers, and most importantly, give children the belief that they can achieve big things.

 

 

Over the years, our partnership has funded a whole mix of activities that have put smiles on faces and inspired children to dream big.

Just a few of our favourites include:

 

• The York Experience – where history steps off the page and comes to life.
• Warter Painting Experience – helping children unleash their creativity and see the world in colour.
• Marine Biologist Experience – giving kids the chance to explore the wonders of the ocean like real scientists.
• Eco Hub Day – hands-on activities that show how we can all help protect our planet.
• Experience Days at MKM Stadium – a behind-the-scenes look at life inside a professional sports ground.
• The Careers Event – helping young people meet real role models and think about what their futures could look like.

 

The best part? Hearing straight from the children about what these opportunities mean to them. Their excitement, pride, and joy make it clear just how much impact these moments have.

 

 

Becoming a Silver Partner back in 2018 was just the start. Eight years later, we’ve seen so many children discover new skills, grow in confidence, and walk away from these experiences inspired to aim higher.

This renewal isn’t just about keeping the partnership going – it’s about showing our continued belief in what the Children’s University does, and making sure even more young people get to try something special.

We can’t wait to see what the next year brings. Whether it’s another inspiring day at the Eco Hub, a chance to explore behind the scenes at MKM, or something completely new, we know the Children’s University will continue to spark ideas, passions, and ambitions in young people.
