Leading independent builder’s merchant MKM have kicked off the launch of their latest branch, in Carlisle, with a visit from footballing legend Peter Beardsley.

MKM Carlisle is now open on Spellar Way, bringing a team of more than 20 highly experienced staff together to offer an unrivalled service to the region’s trade professionals and the general public.

The purpose-built MKM Carlisle boasts an extensive range of building materials and supplies. There’s also a stunning kitchen and bathroom showroom, as well as an outdoor landscaping display, providing customers with all the home inspiration they need.

To mark the official opening, former Newcastle and England striker Peter Beardsley was joined onsite by representatives of the branches chosen local charities - Carlisle United Community Sports Trust and Cash for Kids, with the football legend signing shirts and enjoying a kick-about with visitors.

“There’s been a lot of work behind the scenes from myself and my fellow branch director Nathan to get us to this point, from building our expert team, to engaging with our local customer base to ensure we stock and supply the most suitable product offering.
