MKM's Christmas Wrap Up: Celebrating a Year of Highlights

As we wave goodbye to the festive season, it's time to look back at a few jolly memories. It's been a month as special as a perfectly wrapped present under the Christmas tree, and today, we're unwrapping the highlights of Christmas at MKM.

 

The Christmas Card Competition

Once again, our Christmas card competition was a smashing success. From snowflakes to a festive Bricky, we received entries that would make Santa himself blush with pride. This year’s lucky winner was Lucas from Portland Coming straight from a long day at school, Lucas, with mum Becky, visited MKM Weymouth to be greeted by Branch Director, Neil Stroud. Lucas received a wonderful £100 Amazon gift card, and an MKM goody bag arranged by Jon Worroll. Well done, Lucas!

Mission Christmas: Operation Joy!

Is that sleigh bells ringing or the sound of MKM’s yuletide joy? For 6 years running, Chelsie and Remi in our accounts team have worked with Viking FM to bring festive cheer to less fortunate children this Christmas. Branches up and down the country, have taken part in bulk bag collections for toys and food, within their local communities. This year Central Support filled six bulk bags, one more than last year.
With donations increasing year on year, we would like to say a big thank you to customers and suppliers who got involved to donate food and toys or supported by giving their time or money. A special shoutout to TC Harrison who supplied a miniature ride on JCB digger, which was too big to go in a bulk bag! But that’s not all, 30 branches also got in the festive spirit and collected for local organisations and food for local food banks to help spread a little cheer this year. We’re still counting up the grand total, but we know they’ve brought tons of smiles to local communities.

 

 

12 Trades of Christmas

In partnership with some of our key suppliers, we made our customers’ Christmas by giving those that spent over £85, Christmas scratch cards to win incredible prizes like a PS5, Big screen TVs and more. The competition has created excitement and brought communities together in branches. Branch staff were also involved in Christmas jumper days and 'Mince Pie Fridays', to spread some Christmas cheer throughout the festive season.

 

 

As we get ready to tidy away the tinsel and say farewell to another festive season, we look back with hearts full of joy. We helped turn Bulk Bags into sacks full of toys, and saw creativity soar in our Christmas Card Competition. We were even lucky enough to see some of you in Christmas jumpers, to fundraise for Save the Children.
