Calling all small people with big ideas.

 

The MKM Christmas Card Competition is back for 2026, which means it’s officially time to unleash the crayons, paint, felt tips, glitter and questionable quantities of glue.

We’re inviting young artists aged 12 and under from across the UK to design this year’s official MKM Christmas card.

And when we say official, we mean it. The winning design will be printed and sent to thousands of MKM customers, suppliers, partners, branches and friends across the country.

Quite a lot of mantlepieces could potentially feature your artwork this Christmas.

 

Rachel Constable, Head of ESG at MKM, said:

“It’s one of our favourite things we do each year and is always a lovely part of the run-up to Christmas. The entries are funny, clever, colourful and sometimes completely unexpected, which is exactly why we love them. There are no rules about being a brilliant artist. We just want children to get creative and enjoy themselves.”

 

We’ve seen reindeer, snowmen, builders, bricks and plenty of festive versions of Bricky over the years.

This year? Surprise us.

 

Who can enter?

Any child aged 12 or under in the UK can enter, whether they’re a committed young artist or someone whose creative process mostly involves covering the kitchen table in felt tip.

The age categories are:

• Ages 0–3
• Ages 4–6
• Ages 7–9 
• Ages 10–12

 

Entries can be drawn, painted, crafted or created digitally. Basically, if they made it, we’d like to see it.

An MKM theme isn’t compulsory either, although we’re never going to complain about a festive forklift, a yellow-and-blue Christmas tree or Bricky dressed as Father Christmas.

 

The Prizes

Each age category winner receives £50 Amazon voucher

 

The overall winner will receive:

• A £50 Amazon voucher
• Their design featured on MKM’s 2026 national Christmas card
• A £100 school/art supplies voucher for their class
• And some of the winning cards

 

How to Enter

• Artwork should be A4 size
• Submit as JPEG or PDF – as clear as possible
• Include:
• Child’s name
• Age (as of 1 December 2025)
• Date of birth
• Parent/guardian contact details (postal address, email & phone)
