Steintec Tuffbed 2-Pack Bedding Mortar 25Kg

Steintec ?tuffbed 2-pack' bedding mortar is high performance and meets or exceeds the requirements of BS7533-101:2021, Table 9 for Type 25 and 35 bedding mortars.

There is no need for pre-drying or pre-blending of the aggregate content in this two-part product. The binder is packaged and sold separately avoiding the need for energy intensive central processing. This reduces overall energy use and haulage. Since tuffbed 2-pack is mixed on site, it is suitable for commercial and large public realm projects. Mixed in a 4:1 ratio (4 tuffgrit : 1 tuffbed 2-pack).

Bedding depths of between 30mm and 70mm can be placed in a single layer. Greater depths can be achieved by placing successive layers. Optimum versatility and workability are achieved with a minimum layer depth of 30mm.

It is a requirement of BS7533-101 that laying course material be non-frost susceptible, permeable when cured and meet all the bedding mortar characteristics in Table 9. In addition, when tested in accordance with Annex C, bedding mortars will have a maximum capillary rise of 20mm. tuffbed 2-pack High Performance bedding mortar meets or exceeds all of these requirements.
