10. Are there any tax incentives or rebates available for installing an EV charging point at home?

 

The EV chargepoint grant provides funding of up to 75% towards the cost of installing electric vehicle smart chargepoints at domestic properties across the UK. It replaced the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme in 2022.

With an EV chargepoint grant you can get either £350 or 75% off the cost to buy and install a socket, whichever amount is lower.

With an EV infrastructure grant you can get money off the cost of wider building and installation work that’s needed to install multiple chargepoint sockets, for example wiring and posts. You can get up to £30,000 or 75% off the cost of the work, depending how many parking spaces the work covers.
